Hi my name is Caitlin Sheeran! I am a junior at Minnesota State University, Mankato for Computer Information Technology with a GPA of 3.67. I have a strong foundation in data analysis, programming, and group projects! I'm passionate about applying my technical skills to real-world challenges, making me eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment to expand my knowledge. In my free time, I like to play guitar, play video games, and hang out with my friends! I have also recently adopted a new cat named Dorito! She is the sweetest kitten and loves to play! I'm excited for what the future holds for me in the next few years!

In 2025, I got to participate in the MinneMUDAC data challenge for students. I was a part of a team project that analyzed Big Brothers Big Sisters program data to discover factors that led to early match closures between the Big Brother/Sister and the Little Brother/Sister. I was responsible for cleaning and processing large datasets using Python, performing data analysis in Excel, and creating interactive visualizations in Power BI to identify trends and patterns. My team investigated the demographic, engagement, and program-related variables to help uncover the early signs of match closures and find ways to increase match length. Our team then presented our findings to a table of judges to help provide insights into improving the overall effectiveness of the program.
